Part of our strategy for development is to empower rural women and young people in Africa to take responsibility for their own lives by getting them skilled in such trades as carpentry, mechanics, sewing, masonry, bricklaying, plumbing, and other income generating professions.
To accomplish this objective, we need the tools to train them and give them a leg up as they start a new life in their chosen trade.
New or refurbished equipment means that people in poverty can increase their income, recruit and train apprentices, take on new staff and meet the cost of daily needs such as their children's school fees, medical help and housing.
The tools would be put to good use by blacksmiths, shoemakers, joiners, tailors and mechanics. Even the container in which the tools are shipped can be given a new thatched roof and turned into an office or a classroom.
We shall gratefully accept your donation of all tools that are in working order to continue the work of making life better for rural Africans, one woman and one child at a time.
