Toys

what5 (53K)Over the decades, African children in the rural heartland of the continent have proven very inventive in making their own toys. These are usually crude affairs, ranging from balls made from string or bundled leaves, to clunky bicycles fashioned entirely from wood.

This ingenuity is laudable but is extremely dangerous (children often sustain nasty wounds while fashioning these things), time-consuming and takes away from the time that might have been used in homework.

We will therefore appreciate your donation of toys to these children who would be grateful for the chance to play with a safe modern toy and have time left over to do their homework.

Give us therefore your bikes and tricycles grown too small, your Barbies and Kens, light sabers and playpens, and we shall send them on to another loving home.
